Water fun for charter yachts at Monaco Yacht Show
Monaco Yacht Show is not just about superlative superyachts! This year’s batch of tenders, toys and onboard gadgets were just as impressive. Here’s our pick of the arsenal of accessories that amp up the family-friendly fun which are sure to make their way to the luxury charter yacht fleet this year.
Submersibles are a fascinating way to explore the depths on your luxury charter. Triton displayed its T1650/3 LP that has room for a pilot and two passengers. Imagine the sealife you'll see 500m down below!
This futuristic-looking play thing for charter guests is the Kormaran K7. It's capable of changing form, even while driving, and uses the hydrofoil system to reduce water resistance by up to 80 percent, allowing drivers to fly above the water. While your luxury charter yacht is at anchor, it gracefully transforms into a large sunbathing island.
The Seabob is a must-have onboard for your yacht charter – ideal for diving or supporting swimmers who lack confidence. Weighing just 35kg, the latest incarnation is the SeaBob F5 S, which in top gear can reach speeds up to 20km per hour on the surface and 11km per hour underwater.
At the Monaco Yacht Show, FunAir launched Joust and Yacht Golf – just the diversions for the active charter guest. Joust is a stable, non-slip challenge platform suspended 1.5 metres above the water, giving participants a sturdy bridge to enjoy jousting tournaments. Yacht Golf is a flexible multi-green system, available in sets of three with tough netting on each green so you don't lose the balls into the ocean!
Also on show, FunAir slides, climbing walls, floating islands and jumping pillows that have become de rigeur on charter yachts.
